EL MERCADO is run by womxn of color artists, activists, and educators. We pride ourselves on being small, local, and community based. For this reason we want to make our work and focus on EL MERCADO and the artisans we work with sustainable. Therefore, we mail out items once a week on Friday.
Each item is carefully put together and shipped by us to ensure your satisfaction and smile. Please be patient with the order and check the tracking information which will be sent via email. Most orders take 7-10 business days (not including holidays or weekends) to process. This DOES NOT include shipping timeline or delays caused by USPS. Please read the shipping timeline below.
**Most Items Are Handmade By Activists & Artists In The Movement or In The Americas and some can take longer to arrive (Up To 1 Month)** Please contact us if you need your item by a certain date. Some items are special order and may no longer be available or are handmade for you (often taking much longer than expected to get to you - from 1 to 2 months).
All shoes are special order and one of a kind created by Indigenous artisans. There are no returns or exchanges. Please read the sizing and information in detail before ordering and email El MERCADO with any questions before ordering.

All orders are shipped via US Postal Service (USPS) and take an average of 2 weeks for delivery. If you would like a rush order please contact us first at email@example.com to see if the item is available for rush delivery. Customers are responsible for shipping including returns. All sale items are final.
EL MERCADO offers First Class and Priority USPS shipping across the United States.
First Class shipping normally takes 5 - 7 business days from the date of package dispatch.
EL MERCADO is not responsible for returned or lost USPS Packages because of undeliverable or wrong addresses or lost packages. Please confirm your mailing address is correct before completing your order.
Priority shipping normally takes 3 business days from the date of package dispatch.

We offer worldwide shipping via USPS First Class International. Please select your country at checkout for shipping rates. You are responsible for any custom fees once the package arrives in your country. Shipping timeline will vary, please allow for at least 3 to 4 weeks delivery.
An email with a USPS tracking number will be sent once your order has been shipped.

We do not offer any exchanges, returns or refunds to any of our products including accessories, shoes, caps, botanical items, etc.
